Yes, your point is reasonable and extremely frightening…The idea that it “will get shuffled back to ‘real people,’” presupposes a resilience in the system which it may not have. WE, ordinary real people, may not have the ability to exercise power if those with more ego, money and power decide to tell us what is in our best interest…

I’m guessing that relative to decision making, the answer is “effectively, no, but practically, yes”. Which is to say that there will be decisions which can be made via an AI that we won’t be happy with, and will get shuffled back to ‘real people’.

Groupthink is very bad, it is consistent with authoritarianism not an open society.
